Today, in 4 minutes or less, you'll learn:

  1. What Kajabi is and how it can help you
  2. The five reasons why I recommend Kajabi
  3. The drawbacks of using Kajabi

In this newsletter, I want to share why Kajabi has been such a fantastic, all-in-one solution for my business.

There are many different options on the market, and it can be very confusing and challenging to decide which one to set up your website, course and other offerings with. It is also an important decision to make right at the start, as migrating to a new platform after you have started can be a time-consuming and costly process.

In the discussion that follows, I will share why I have been delighted with my decision based on the two years I have used Kajabi. Of course, Kajabi may not be the right platform for you, too, so I hope this information will help add to your knowledge as you research the various options.

Now, let's dive in.

What is Kajabi?

According to their website, Kajabi helps "creators build successful businesses with digital products, marketing tools, and easy payments." Kajabi provides everything that is needed for you to set up and run your online business, including a website, email marketing, payments, course products, coaching products, podcasting products, community products, membership products, funnels, a blog, and a newsletter.

Why has it been so great for my business?

#1 Kajabi is so easy to use:

Kajabi is so easy to use, even for a non-technical person like myself. I have found the program easy to navigate and use. I started playing and inserting sections into the templates provided for my website and figured everything out quickly.

Initially, having a developer create a site to house all course content can be costly, so I decided to use an existing platform provider. I find it easy to make updates and changes to my website, and I am so glad I have complete control of it and am not waiting for anyone else to update it.

#2 All-in-one solution:

I wanted a simple and streamlined system, so Kajabi made sense. I can have coaching, membership, courses, email marketing, funnels, and a podcast in one application. Further bonuses include not having to patch so many applications together to have them all work seamlessly, and Kajabi does most of my online security and system maintenance.

I regularly use the website, blog, email, newsletter, contacts and products sections. My weekly newsletter and email broadcasts have all worked well so far; the automation I have used has been very reliable, and I have solved any glitches quickly.

#3 Great user experience:

My website looks great and is easy to navigate for my customers. I have had lots of feedback from my community about how professional and well-designed my website is. I found the course product very easy to upload all my resources to, and all the feedback from my course participants about their Kajabi user experience has been very positive.

#4 There is a lot of support available from Kajabi and the associated community:

The support offered by Kajabi has been fantastic. The online chat runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and everyone I have spoken to has been accommodating in solving my beginner-level queries. I can speak to a technician within seconds of logging each query. Before I realised how good online chat is, I sent many emails to the technical team, who responded promptly and competently. I have had two Zoom calls with Kajabi consultants, and both times, I was provided with fantastic support, resources and ideas.

I have joined an online Facebook community of Kajabi users, with over 46K people. The support, tips and advice there have been excellent, and I have learned so much from scanning other people's posts and comments in the group.

I have also accessed many helpful courses and resources from Kajabi University for everything related to setting up and growing my business. I will continue to explore the courses on offer as I develop my offerings further.

#5 Costs have been reasonable for me so far:

The Kickstart plan I found was such a bonus and has given me a lot of breathing space as I have worked on making a start to my business. I paid approximately $1K for 12 months of access to Kajabi, which has taken the pressure off needing to pay a significant amount upfront or high monthly amounts.

Are there any reasons why it may not work for you?

There are some drawbacks I have heard other people mention about Kajabi, including:

  • Some people who want more advanced web pages find that the templates can be quite limiting, and it can be challenging to customise web pages how they want to. So far, I have been pleased with the customisation I can do and appreciate having the templates to guide me.
  • Kajabi is sometimes criticised for doing everything well but not being the best in each space, e.g. podcasting.
  • Kajabi is a more expensive option in the digital platform marketplace, given all it offers, and you may only need to use a little of what it offers in the early stages of your business. The Kickstart plan I am on is no longer offered, and the Basic plan starts at 119 USD/month.

I hope you have found this information helpful. Initially, I was all set up to use WordPress and had paid for many of the website options I needed for this, but then I found Kajabi when I realised I would need to house my course outside of WordPress and have yet to look back. I love the simplicity of having everything in one place. This platform has worked so well for my business. It is worth investigating, particularly if you want to sell online courses or memberships.
