Making a Start - Things Take FOREVER in the Beginning

Public service announcement: when I started, it took me all day to publish three blog posts. I want to remind you that when you first start and things are new, they take a long time to do. That is ok. I wrote the content of these three posts the day before, and then it still took me all day to work through all the Grammarly editing, figure out how to create a blog post on Kajabi and find and resize images in Canva so that they worked in Kajabi.

It does get a lot quicker the more you do it. I have started writing down headline ideas and adding bullet points under each heading to make writing blog posts faster and easier. I have also begun batching blog posts – writing all the content for multiple posts, doing Grammarly edits for multiple posts, and creating and uploading images for numerous posts simultaneously. I became a lot quicker at finding and editing images in Canva. Grammarly kept reporting many similar corrections, so I took note of these and stopped making the same mistakes.

I also discovered that I had navigated away from blog posts in Kajabi before the program had saved my edits and image uploads. Because I was batch uploading them, I lost two hours replacing all the lost content. Now I am careful to see that the blog post has been updated and saved before I exit the page. It is all a learning curve, and it does get easier!
