A close friend recently asked me to write about mindfulness.
Mindfulness, for me, is all about enjoying the moment and trying to be more present.
Being stuck in past and future thoughts can significantly impact your well-being, stress levels, ability to have fun, intimacy and even time spent with your kids.
Some practices I have used or thought about for improving my mindfulness include sitting in silence for ten minutes, meditation practice, mindful movements such as a yoga class, journal writing, and practising gratitude.
I also love a suggestion I heard to focus on where your feet are, especially when I am playing with my children and my thoughts wander.
Mindfulness can also help you in business as it grounds you and helps you enjoy your milestones and achievements along your journey.
It can help you manage your thoughts, take more action and enjoy rest so you don’t burn out.
It is worth contemplating and incorporating into your daily life where you can.
