Constraint and Making It Happen
Jul 20, 2022Constraint and Making It Happen
To launch, I reached a point where I had to practice some constraints so I could get it done! I had to put my blinkers on and stop following each shiny new disco ball, especially new resources and ideas. These were all important, but I needed them at a future point, and they were helping me to procrastinate and stay stuck.
I had to check whether there were any ways I was sabotaging myself from launching. For example, I was working on publishing a daily blog, but realistically, there was no way I could achieve that given my current time constraints. It was a big block for me being able to finalise my website. So, I chose to publish three times each week instead. It was a huge relief when I let go of posting daily.
I had a massive action list that I kept pushing through on. There were so many little things that I kept adding to this list as my ‘go live’ approached. Again, I had to look at this list and see what tasks could wait until after I launched my business for me to complete them. I did not need to have every box ticked for my business to be live.
I had to push through the fears I had about sharing my business. What would everyone think? Did people see me as a business coach? What would they think about my website? What if my website wasn’t good enough? I can’t compete with all the influencers and businesswomen that have worked in this space for years. Who am I to launch a business? These doubts kept swirling, but I didn’t let them stop me.
I stayed focused on the next task and kept going. This is the key. Don't stop.
I am amazed at the result and so proud that I could bring this idea to life and share it with you. Despite all the busyness of our family life and all our commitments, I was still able to make this happen. It is possible. You’ll be amazed at what you can make happen for yourself too, and all your hard work will be so worth it.
