Making a Start - Business Cards

I used a Canva template early in my business to create a beautiful business card. I decided to use a template on which I could put my photo, though I had not considered this until I saw how good they looked. I added all my details and included my hot drink of choice for fun – a chai latte or English Breakfast tea. I kept the back of the card simple, with only my logo in the middle. I had 150 cards printed for $48 with premium paper and a gloss finish.   

Many successful business people will argue that creating business cards is not where your focus should be in your early days when you are trying to develop offers and start making money. But I found that it had a significant mindset impact on me. Having a business card ready to hand out to people has helped me enhance my professionalism. I have been sharing them readily and excitedly with anyone I have been chatting about my business with, including friends, family, my hairdresser, a stylist and dressmaker I worked with, other small business owners and potential new clients. They have helped me to start stepping into my business self – as a coach and business owner. All feedback I've received is that these little touches have created a very professional and cohesive brand image. So I would suggest it is worth thinking about and effortless and fun to do in Canva.
